Water transfer printing technology is a printing technology that uses water pressure to perform polymer hydrolysis on transfer paper/plastic film with color patterns. With the improvement of people's requirements for product packaging and decoration, the use of water transfer printing is becoming more and more extensive. The principle of indirect printing and the perfect printing effect solve many problems of product surface decoration.
There are two types of water transfer technology, one is water mark transfer technology, and the other is water coating transfer technology.
The former mainly completes the transfer of text and photo patterns, while the latter tends to complete the transfer on the entire product surface. Overlay transfer technology uses a water-based film that is easily dissolved in water to carry graphics. Due to the excellent tension of the water-coated film, it is easy to wrap around the product surface to form a graphic layer, and the product surface gets a completely different appearance like spray paint. It can be coated on workpieces of any shape to solve the problem of three-dimensional product printing for manufacturers. Surface coating can also add different textures on the surface of the product, such as leather texture, wood texture, jadeite texture and marble texture. And in the printing process, since the product surface does not need to be in contact with the printing film, damage to the product surface and its integrity can be avoided.
2. Substrates and substrates
①Water transfer substrate: The water transfer substrate can be either plastic film or water transfer paper. Many products are difficult to print directly. The graphics and text can be printed on the water transfer substrate first through mature printing technology. Then transfer the graphics to the substrate.
Three-dimensional curved water-covered film: The water-covered film is printed on the surface of the water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol film by the traditional gravure printing process. The disadvantage is that during the coating process, the graphics and text are easily deformed due to the large flexibility of the substrate. For this reason, graphics and texts are generally designed as continuous patterns, and even if the transfer is deformed, the viewing effect will not be affected. At the same time, the gravure water-coating film uses water transfer ink. Compared with traditional ink, water transfer ink has good water resistance, and the drying method is volatilization drying.
